Chapter 1
The First Steps Outside

As I walked outside I could feel the biting wind nipping at my face. It was unbearable and I knew that the day was going to be dreadful. As I got into my sister’s car to go to school, sitting on her leather seats was almost like sitting on a block of ice. When her car started and made that clinking sound, she noticed that her heater didn’t work. Both of us were as angry as we could get. It was the worst day to have this happen.

Chapter 2
My Long for Summer
Just looking at the frost on the houses made me long for summer even more. I miss the smell of the blooming flowers , the taste of fresh apples from my garden, and the beautiful sound of waves crashing on the beach.
On our way to school I was thankful I dressed for the worst. In my sweats, sweatshirt, and hobo gloves I thought I’d be warm and toasty but little did I know…it was thirty five degrees.

Chapter 3
The End of a Dreadful Day

Watching the rain fall and hit the ground, I wondered why the days of winter went by so slow. All I wanted to do was be in my warm house drinking a nice, big, warm cup of hot cocoa. The chocolate was embracing my tastebuds, with marshmallows floating on top like clouds, all bundled up in blankets. I couldn’t wait for this awful day to be over.
